CHAC is an Indigenous Corporation under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander)(CATSI) Act 2006.  Corporations listed under the CATSI Act are supported by the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (ORIC).  Every Indigenous Corporation is governed by a Constitution (sometimes referred to as a Rule Book) whic covers matters like the core business of the organisation, membership, meetings and financial management.
